Hi,
We had discussion on GNU Art works for FSF India and we got some images.
Seems that no suggestions came for page design. Can some one come up with a simple template we can use ? Not with much colors or graphics. Any volunteers ?
Also we can up load the projects page and other informations.

See www.owasp.org for one possible starting point.
Looks good -- was it done with gimp (I would like to get my hands on that script !).
But is that static HTML ?. I could not get /index.html or index.htm or default.htm or index.php. Gopal.V

No idea :)

I don't know how it is generated, We can use that as a guide for our static design, that's what I suggested.

Another suggestion most people might be knowing already. Open Source Web Design: http://www.oswd.org http://www.oswd.org/browse.phtml?category=clean

IMHO , we would be better off involving more people from FSF-India. Since this is a community effort , not many would like work to be outsourced.
Also we want all our sources to be made as far as possible with "Free" tools , which might be stretching it a bit too far when you adopt the OSWD works (most of it is done in dreamweaver from the HTML).
BTW, I'm not really "free" right now , so I can't suggest an original design from my part. But some of my work from DotGNU is left with me -- maybe that would do.

Go there TODAY, good fun :)
Let us be very clear about one thing at the outset: our site should not have any "geeky" appearance. It might put off first-time visitors who come there just to know about software freedom (and there will be *lot* of such visitors once we really get going, hopefully :)
The default gnu.org page (and our current front page) are truly "boring" :) However, take a look at FSF Europe's site -- elegant, simple and functional. Seems worth copying and adapting.

Here's how the FSF Europe folks went about designing their web site:

Maybe we could learn some things from their archives.
