It's actually both! Frederick's list had info on businesses as well as utilities/tools made in India and their authors. I didn't actually think of it as a directory that end users could utilize. A segregation of the directory listing on those lines would be great though. The current list names a product and its author; if there's a company involved, say Peacock solutions, that has also been listed with a link to its website. Maybe we should be listing the utilities out seperately and put up a business directory with a different set of information. I actually thought we would start off with a listing on the lines if the one at www.gnu.org. We do need a list for developers too don't we? And I think Khuzaima's argument is solid - I suggest we have two lists? What's one everyone else's mind?
What about GNU/Linux Localization projects in India? no plan to include such project works in the directory?
